Frequently Asked Questions
- Why are your prices lower than most cleaning companies and maid services?
- We get plenty of calls mentioning how low our prices are compared to our competitors. Our prices are low, because of the approach we take to the business. We invest in a full set of cleaning tools for our employees. Having the right tools for the job reduces the time and physical effort needed to complete the work. We are also a debt-free company so we have few financial obligations beyond day-to-day business expenses.
- What needs to be done before you start cleaning?
- Before starting services, we require a short walk-through of the areas we will be cleaning. We also write out a service agreement based on the services that are to be provided. That way, we have a clear understanding of what needs to be done. Also, it protects you by stating that we are a company doing work by contract rather than an employee which you must pay taxes for.
- When should I call to request services?
- The best time to call is between 8:00AM and 6:00PM. We may pick up if you call outside of those hours. If we don't, then just leave a message and let us know the best time to call back.
- Are you insured?
- Yes, we carry business liability insurance.
- How do you clean hardwood floors?
- Hardwood floors can be dulled or damaged over time by applying certain products too frequently. We like to take a conservative approach to wood floor cleaning that will help maintain it for years. First, we remove dirt and debris with a soft bristle broom or vacuum attachment. If the floors are especially dirty, then we can use a hardwood steam cleaner for sealed hardwood floors that bead water well. We can also use a lightly dampened terry cloth mop with a light oil-based mixture. We try to avoid anything beyond spot cleaning for untreated or worn wood floors.
- Do you provide green or non-toxic cleaning services?
- Green and non-toxic cleaning services use chemicals that are environmentally friendly. We can provide similar services at an additional cost. Green cleaning techniques work well for the most part, but they fall short when it comes to the removal of mold and mildew. In fact, many green and non-toxic companies often recommend that you clean this yourself using corrosive chemicals that they do not carry. It is important to properly remove molds and mildews as they can cause health problems if left unchecked.
